I was not going to address this, but, some seem not to understand that this means nothing as far as production is concerned. 

X. Chevron was in a joint venture with PDVSA in Venezuela. 
X. After Chevron ended its contracts and effectively left operational control of its Venezuelan joint ventures (due to the the order from the US administration) in May of this year, PDVSA continued running the projects on its own.
X. PDVSA assumed full operational control of the joint ventures, and Venezuelan oil production from these projects still remain active. 

Therefore, even though CVX is allowed back in the country, it does not mean more production, as these projects never ceased production. All this means is that US Gulf refiners will get more of the sour crude they need and exports will flow back to the US.
