Looking back it was extremely bad but I was like XX and unaware that I should tell anyone. Was a wild time. 

He made me cry for an entire session while he berated me for a) questioning my mom's choices, and b) telling him i still felt upset about being beaten and locked in my room for days on end. Which is what I was there for?? But he said I shouldn't complain because he had another patient whose parents locked him in a dog kennel, so I didn't have it that bad.

I was actually a good kid but his inappropriate relationship with my mom kinda put him on her side. Over it now, just a ridiculous anecdote about therapy. And stunningly not my worst experience with a therapist, a different one threw me a party and then sa'd my husband. Twice 😂
