Donald Trump tried to make a Federal case of alleged cost overruns of the Fed's HQ renovation project for the Eccles building, built 1937 and currently under renovation.  Trump would like to use these as an excuse to fire Jerome Powell.  But Powell caught him sneakily adding in the Martin building, built 1962 and renovated X years ago.  
Asbestos, height limits and lead are X reasons mentioned by WSJ for the high costs.  The Fed has also noted rising material costs because of Trump's tariffs.
Karoline Leavitt always says "Trust Trump."  Don't.  Don't Trust Trump.
