🇺🇦🇷🇺 NO CEASEFIRE EXPLAINED:

1) Russia fights an attrition war.

In attrition war, you fight for along time to kill as many of the other guys … NOT to capture territory.

Pretty simple, and cruel … but it’s that.

2) Once the attrition effect reaches a critical point, due to too many dead soldiers and not enough new recruits, the army starts to collapse.

-> This is where Ukraine is now.

3) The attritted army collapsed and you can go and grab the now undefended land. 

Or the attritted party surrenders, like Germany in WW1.

-> Now the west and Ukraine want a ceasefire right at the point, Russia was working towards. It’s illogical to now stop.

You don’t fight X years to reach the breaking point of the Ukranian army, to just declare a ceasefire because zelensky and trump said please. This would reset the whole war, if the pause is long enough.
