DeSantis many supporters, especially myself, pleaded with him to stay as far from Trump as possible. Trump is toxic and nothing good ever happens to anyone who associates with him.

He ignored the advice and, at times, seemed to double down against it. 

I don’t know what to say. Some of that is going to stick to him and all Trump’s allies. But DeSantis could have easily avoided it. Gov. Kemp handled it the correct way.
