She was born in Stuttgart, Germany and taught me violin at Virginia Commonwealth University. Back in 2010, I almost dropped out of college. But every week, Susanna kept showing up for me. In our lessons, she didn't just care about how well I played. She reminded me to feel the music, to breathe, and to believe in myself. One day during a lesson, Susanna paused and asked, "How are you doing, Eric?" But it wasn't your typical "how are you." I told her I was ready to quit school. I put down the violin, and we talked for the rest of the lesson. I was going through a really hard time. I felt lost in life and didn’t know where I was headed. My grades were slipping, and my GPA had fallen below the requirement. Susanna didn't let me give up. She gently reminded me that it was okay to change paths. She said, "Why don't you try switching to something that gives you more freedom?" The next semester, I changed my major from music to Interdisciplinary Studies. I had always been curious about business and finance. So I began taking both business and music classes. It took me an extra year to finish, but I still graduated in 2014. Every student needs a teacher who truly cares. Susanna was that teacher for me. 📸 (Photo: Susanna Klein / Virginia Commonwealth University) Credit: Eric Stanley XXX engagements **Related Topics** [coins music](/topic/coins-music) [germany](/topic/germany) [Post Link](https://x.com/Ezekle1/status/1948472055105814557)
