One of my favourite #UECL ties of the round has finished its First Leg.

In one corner, FC Vaduz 🇱🇮, an increasingly popular story of the Liechteiner club who play in 🇨🇭 due to the lack of a national league system, and almost always appear in Europe as they are the world record 51-time winners of the Liechtenstein Football Cup.

In the other corner, Dungannon Swifts, a semi-professional NIFL Premiership side from County Tyrone in Northern Ireland.
They’re in the Conference League this season after winning the Irish Cup for the first time in 2025, and it’s handed them a first European campaign since a single Europa League tie back in 2007.

After Leg X at Rheinpark Stadion, it’s advantage to the Swifts, a case of smash and grab from the visitors with Sean McAllister getting the only goal in the second half.
Vaduz had more of the opportunities, but didn’t provide enough of real quality. Big second leg performance needed at Solitude next week…
