Statement from Prince Reza Pahlavi on the Passing of Lord Alliance

“It is with great personal regret that we mourn the passing of Lord Davoud (David) Alliance. 

Lord Alliance was a titan of business, but more importantly than that he was a titan amongst men. From the very earliest days of the terrible events that took our beloved Iran hostage in 1979, he never turned his back on our country or, more personally, on our family. 

From our earliest days in Egypt, when many former friends turned their backs, Lord Alliance was a true one. We shall never forget his loyalty, his friendship, and his love of Iran. Through his philanthropy and his sheer character, he was and remains a role model for our business leaders and for Iranians in exile.

I extend my sincere condolences to Lady Alliance, his children, and his family and loved ones.”
