No one thought creators would ever get paid for simply putting things out online.

Then came @YouTube — a spark of hope. 

Creators could monetize views through ads. 

It worked — for a while.

But even there, creators were at the mercy of:

➙ Ever-changing rules

➙ Harsh demonetization

➙ And the threat of de-platforming

The model was built, but it was far from fair.
