XX July 1945. B-24J-170-CO Liberator s/n 44-40559 864th Bomb Squadron, 494th Bomb Group, 7th Air Force. Kuuipo ('Sweetheart' in Hawaiian) completed XX combat missions before being shot down by Japanese fighters on XX July 1945 while bombing Tsuiki, Kyushu. X of XX crew survived.
