📄 The Steele dossier was *not* a product of U.S. intel agencies. It was raw opposition research, funded by political actors, and came *after* the Crossfire Hurricane probe began.

📘 Durham’s report (pgs. 113–115) confirms: the Steele dossier was "unverified" and filled with contradictions—**and it should not have been used to renew FISA warrants**.

BUT—and this is key—🧠 Durham also makes clear: 
 
👉 The dossier was **not a basis for the ICA** (Intel Community Assessment) 
 
👉 The FBI’s poor handling of the dossier = sloppiness, not proof of Obama-directed misconduct

The HPSCI report notes debate inside CIA about raw HUMINT in the ICA, but it does *not* confirm that the Steele dossier was “inserted by Obama-era directives” over objections. That claim goes beyond the evidence.

Let’s stick to what’s written, not what’s implied.  If we’re demanding accountability, it has to be rooted in documented fact—not suspicion.
