Earlier today, a C-17A Globemaster III “RCH4267” with the 4th Airlift Squadron, which is based at Joint Base Lewis–McChord in Washington and operates as the U.S. Air Force’s Prime Nuclear Airlift Force (PNAF), landed at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, England after departing the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. This is the second flight by the 4th Airlift Squadron between Kirtland and Lakenheath in the past week, with this flight, similar to the first, likely carrying B61-12 “Tactical” Nuclear Bombs meant for the F-35A Lightning IIs stationed at RAF Lakenheath.
