Yep.  This ‘wrapped’  ETH is what the MakerDao engine was originally programmed to value as collateral. 

But now after the fork and ‘reboot’ of the protocol, it looks like this forked copy of wETH has been inflated and paired with PLS in order to create token reserves that fund the DAO algorithm to maintain 1:1 with PLS….a design without fiat oracles, liquidations and redemptions…a design that uses PLS as the means of accounting for fiat….instead of fiat as the means of accounting for PLS.  Very deep subject.
