when you first start reading Jung and he starts yapping about how it doesn't really matter whether myths actually happened or not, and about how a sufficiently compelling myth is just as real as some sequence of events that actually transpired, you start to think the boomer has lost it

but then you start noticing -- you see something like this, a completely and admittedly fabricated screenshot that nevertheless totally grips public consciousness because it *clearly could be real* in some alternative universe in which the odds align in precisely such a way that would best emblematize our collective troubles of the present moment, 
and you think to yourself: oh.. I get it now!
