My key requirements are that it must be quiet and robust enough to not crash from overheating, ensuring it needs as little physical maintenance as possible. I have the hardware up and running. So far, it has been active for less than a full day, with significant interruptions as I work through the setup process. It's taking me time to figure everything out, fine-tune the settings, prepare it for unattended operation, and optimize the processes. Currently, I'm seeing a count of XX shares and XX XMR shares. I'm not yet sure if this is a good or bad result for the time elapsed. For mining, I chose the first pool I came across. If anyone has recommendations for a better one, please share them. Performance Metrics Result: During mining at full load, the rig is very quiet (as a server should be). Maintains a constant temperature of 72°C. Hashrate average is 23`237 - 23`440 it/s. When idle between work cycles, it drops to XXX avg it/s. There is significant overclocking potential. The Ryzen's optimal operating temperature is between 85°C and 94°C. It only begins to thermal throttle (reducing voltage and clock speed to prevent overheating) upon reaching 95°C. So far, the rig has consumed less than €1 in electricity. I should note that I went into this project fully planning for the mining itself to be unprofitable. I am not aiming to make money from it. My goal is to contribute to the development of the Qubic network and to mine a few Qubics for myself (I already hold almost X billion, which are staked in Qubic Earn). It would be more profitable to simply buy and hold for 2-3 years (which I will also continue to do). To me, Qubic feels like Bitcoin did in September 2017 – there's the same optimism, the same vibe, and the prospect of a huge revolution on the horizon.
