This is the part of the rally where traders get frustrated they hedged and then abandon those hedges.. just as the market likely pulls back into August.. 

Still believe corrections will be shallow and brief but a 3-4% dip by end of summer fairly likely.. and being hedged at least makes taking new long side trades easier for me. 

Its all about managing your beta weighted delta exposure at a portfolio level and IV is quite cheap
