True social justice can only be achieved through a scientific approach to redistributing power and wealth to the oppressed and backward communities. We commend the Telangana Government that has embarked on this journey, through the precise methodology for their socio-economic survey, for showing the country how a caste census is conducted honestly. The Centre, after dragging its feet and mocking the caste census process for the years, has announced its intentions to hold one - without any specifications. The Telangana model is an ideal model that should be replicated at the national level.
