after teaching 500+ ppl to vibe code, here are the biggest newbie mistakes i see:
- prompts too vague (“fix this bug")
- not understanding flow of information
- building XX features before testing any
- underutilizing asking ai to explain terms & navigate UI
- death loops and lack of version control hygiene
- carbon-copying prompts w/o adapting
- not breaking problems down
- ignoring errors like they’ll fix themselves
- blind trust in ai output

luckily, every one of these is fixable. if you’re willing to unlearn how you think.
