stablecoins just got their rules  and that’s big for rwa.

on july 18, 2025, the u.s. passed the genius act , the first official federal framework for dollar-backed stablecoins.

what it means 👇

▸ only licensed banks & approved financial firms can issue

▸ must be backed 1:1 with cash or short-term treasuries

▸ regular audits & public reports are now required

▸ no interest on idle stablecoins, but yield can still flow through defi protocols or rwa vaults

this clears a path for institutional adoption: safer reserves, transparent custody, real utility.
