This is not just a few CFDs or forex pairs added to a crypto exchange. It’s the beginning of a platform that’s trying to do what banks, brokers, and exchanges haven’t: unify traditional and digital markets in one place. Here is what I think comes next: X. A true multi-asset account You’ll likely be able to use your crypto as collateral to trade stocks, oil, or forex without converting to fiat. That changes how global traders access traditional markets, especially in regions where banking is slow or limited. X. More listings with real relevance It won’t stop at niche stocks like SBET or CLSK. Expect Bybit to go after big-name stocks and ETFs, tech giants, energy, AI, and eventually full equity indices. This could challenge platforms like eToro and even traditional brokers. X. Institutional interest will rise If Bybit builds enough liquidity and compliance into their TradFi offerings, funds and professional traders will follow, especially those already exposed to crypto who want faster execution or better custody flexibility. X. Regulatory stress or success Of course, all this only scales if Bybit can navigate global financial regulations. We’ll probably see them pursue licenses in key markets and that will either accelerate or slow this hybrid vision. X. The big picture: financial convergence This is notcrypto trying to replace TradFi, it is crypto absorbing it. In five years, traders might not care whether they’re in “DeFi” or “TradFi” they’ll just want performance, access, and control. Bybit is betting on that shift. If they pull it off, Bybit could end up not just as a top exchange, but as the first real bridge between the old system and the new one.
