DEEPMIND CEO PREDICTS XX% CHANCE OF TRUE AGI BY 2030

@demishassabis just dropped his AGI timeline: XX% probability within the next X years.

However, his definition has a high bar - not today's "jagged intelligence," which is great at some things but terrible at others.

True AGI means matching ALL cognitive functions of the human brain with consistent intelligence across every domain.

How would we test it? Hassabis suggests a brutal evaluation:

Give it tens of thousands of cognitive tasks humans can do, then let hundreds of the world's top experts - the Terence Taos of each field - spend months trying to find obvious flaws.

If they can't break it, we've got AGI.

The key missing pieces right now? True invention capabilities and creativity.

We created modern civilization with our brains - that's the benchmark these systems need to match.
