Lars is completely right, and the irony here is that even the book of Genesis, the cornerstone text so many creationists cling to, actually supports evolution when you strip away the childish insistence on literalism.
The “six days of creation” were never meant to be clockwork 24-hour periods—ancient writers didn’t even measure time the way we do.
Those “days” are clearly metaphors for unfathomable eons, each representing vast stretches of time in which the universe, Earth, and life itself took shape.
Stars don’t form overnight, oceans don’t rise in a week, and complex species don’t just pop into existence fully formed because someone said “let there be light.”
That’s not divine magic; that’s evolution, geology, astronomy, and biology playing out over billions of years—processes so magnificent that if anything, they make a stronger case for awe in creation than any instant snap-of-the-fingers version ever could.

What’s truly fragile isn’t evolution—it’s the brittle glass house of denial built by those too scared to reconcile faith with evidence.
Science doesn’t crumble because someone stomps their foot and yells “Genesis!”—it’s been tested, challenged, refined, and proven for centuries.
Literalist creationism, on the other hand, collapses the second you hold it up to reality.
So maybe it’s time for people like Ken Ham to stop pretending their interpretation is the only one and admit that the truth—the real, observable, measurable truth—was there all along.
Evolution is reality, and no amount of wishful thinking changes that.
