Here’s what you need to know: What’s new with the banknotes? 📌 A fresh, modern design with brighter colours and sharper lines 📌 N$10 & N$20 are now printed on a hybrid polymer-paper material that make them more durable. 📌 The familiar Dr. Sam Nujoma and Captain Hendrik Witbooi still appear on the front, with Namibia’s iconic wildlife on the back. 📌 Improved tactile features that make it easier for the visually impaired to recognise their money. 📌 The Bank of Namibia’s refreshed logo now features proudly. 📌 Upgraded security features for even better protection against counterfeiting. What’s new with the coins? 📌 Complete redesign for the first since 1993! Now smaller, lighter and easier to use 📌 New N$0.20 coin, bridging the gap between N$0.10 and N$0.50. 📌 Stronger metals for coins that last longer. 📌 Each coin now highlights one of Namibia’s five key economic sectors: agriculture, renewable energy, tourism, retail and mining (with wildlife still celebrated on our notes).
