Why are people surprised antisemitism has made a comeback? 

We’ve made words like Hitler, Nazi, murder and rape “unspeakable” yet they are essential to understanding our history and the reasons why we don’t allow ourselves to spiral down the darkest depths of conspiratorial thinking. 

The brutality of words and the ability to both simply and plainly call things what they are has tremendous meaning. We have removed it from our discourse and we are reaping the consequence.
