CHINESE LEAPMOTOR SET TO HIT SA ROADS

Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor will debut in South Africa this September, with the C10 SUV leading the charge. 

The C10 uses a petrol engine to charge its battery, with fully electric models arriving next year. Backed by a joint venture with Stellantis, Leapmotor brings affordable EVs to a price-sensitive market. 

Stellantis plans to build a local plant, aiming to sell one million vehicles in the Middle East and Africa by 2030 - XX% of them electric.
