What is XIP‑9 & What It Aims to Fix

XIP‑9 proposes building a bespoke backend API to directly wrap around the Synthetix PerpsV3 smart contract events (on Base/Base Goerli). 
Instead of relying on a decentralized indexer like The Graph, this custom API (available via REST and WebSockets) will be tailored to Infinex’s needs: fast, reliable, real-time Perps data delivery with robust event ingestion.

If Infinex wants to match or beat CEXs in speed and responsiveness, a dedicated, optimized API layer is essential. XIP‑9 lays that groundwork while keeping the DeFi spirit intact; your assets, your control, but performance that shines.
