Everyone talks about bridging BTC into DeFi | 
but bridges break. 

- Wrapped tokens drift. Trust erodes and @PortaltoBitcoin skips all of that.

> Wrapped BTC was supposed to bring Bitcoin into DeFi.

- But let’s be honest | It brought counterparty risk, friction, and trust back into the system.

- You give up your BTC. You get an IOU. That’s not sovereignty. That’s compromise.

> Bridges didn’t fix that. They made it worse. We've seen exploits, validator failures, lost funds. 
And each time, users pay the price.

- The lesson?

Bitcoin doesn’t belong in systems that need middlemen.

> @PortaltoBitcoin took a different approach:
→ No wrapping
→ No synthetic assets
→ No bridges

- Just native BTC, swapped trustlessly across chains
using atomic swap tech built directly into Bitcoin’s UTXO model.
