Short-term, $TSLA will likely face margin pressure as lost credits and weaker EV demand hit the P&L—regulatory credit revenue nearly halved YoY, and vehicle deliveries are sliding. Cost structure could take a hit if innovation incentives dry up, making scaling harder. 

Investors seem willing to stomach these “rough quarters” because the narrative is shifting to self-driving: robotaxi pilots and FSD subscriptions could unlock recurring, high-margin revenue starting late 2025, recasting Tesla as a mobility platform.
