How to play the long game and play the cycles in between: 

When in the thick of the bear market, keep up buying up as much as you can of what you can leave invested for long. 

Then as the market start to rally, slow down, don’t be as aggressive. Enjoy the upswing and invest little using DCA. 

Then when we start to hit stupid rally and euphoria, rebalance your portfolio and start building a cash pile for whenever the cycle tops again. 

Rinse and repeat. 

N/B: you do this only with assets that are multi cycle assets like sp500 and Bitcoin.
