JUST IN: 🇺🇸 US appeals court 🚨 overturns Yuga Labs’ $9M trademark win against artist Ryder Ripps. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the judgment, sending the case back for trial.
Ripps: "huge victory for artists who seek to make expressive meaningful work.”
Yuga co-founder Greg Solano: "we’ll now finish the fight in the district court."
Court also ruled Yuga’s NFTs are “goods” under US trademark law, setting a legal precedent.
