What are xStocks?
You've probably come across this subject many times, on the timeline and wonder what it really is, journey with me as it is broken down systemically.
So, xStocks were first introduced into crypto markets in early 2024, primarily through partnerships between Backed Finance @BackedFi (the issuer) and major crypto exchanges like @krakenfx and @Bybit_Official 
xStocks are tokenized versions of real U.S. stocks and ETFs, like Apple (xAAPL), Tesla (xTSLA), or the S&P XXX ETF (xSPY). These tokens are created and issued on the Solana blockchain and backed 1:1 by real stocks held securely in a regulated Swiss/European custody.
So think of xStocks as digital twins of traditional stocks that you can buy, sell, and use, just like crypto, while still representing ownership of actual shares.
