Muhammad Nasr Ali Quneita was identified by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet (ISA) as a member of Hamas’s Al‑Furqan Battalion, specifically its military intelligence unit (also known by the IDF as the Sheikh Radwan Battalion)  .
