It is important to point out that some mistakenly identify Satoshi Nakamoto (the name used by the person or group of people that published the Bitcoin whitepaper) and Bitcoin as the origin of blockchain technology. However, papers discussing what would later be termed blockchain technology were published much earlier; See Stuart Haber & W.
