On what grounds did the bank come to this conclusion? Did the police tell them to do it? Did the government? The monopolization of banks and other critical services as agents of the state to apparently punish dissidents needs to be stopped immediately. Justice Mosley was sensible and clear when he explained that banks freezing accounts extrajudicially during the Convoy was illegal and beyond the power of their authority. These back alley debankings years after the fact are no different in their lack of legal grounds to do this to a lawyer in good standing, no less, and especially for no good reason.
