$TSLA could EM skip the NestGen AV based on the CyberCab platform & go directly to a CyberCab…without controls! It helps RoboTaxi but, not the TAM for the low end of the Global EV market…esp. competing against BYD in China & TM worldwide! Posts on X suggest that Tesla started building the new low-cost vehicle in June, likely a smaller or stripped-down version of the Model Y, codenamed something like E80 or E41, with features like fabric seats and a smaller battery, aiming for a price around twenty-five to thirty-five thousand dollars. That lines up with earlier mentions of a cheaper Model Y, so it’s probably that one, not a completely new model.
