RIP Ozzy Osbourne.  You were a great entertainer.

I was never an Ozzy or Black Sabbath fan, but when I was in college a friend had an extra ticket to an Ozzy show during the Crazy Train Tour.  It was free, so I went.

Throughout the show he had a "Little Person" (I'm not quite sure what the PC term is these days) in a hooded black robe who ran out between songs to pick up the garbage people threw on the stage.

During "Crazy Train," Ozzy put a noose around the small man's neck and hoisted him up over the drum kit, where he kicked for a little while and then just kind of swung back and forth for the rest of the song.

(Don't worry kids, he was actually hoisted by a hidden back harness, no actual hangings took place.)

This was the same tour that Ozzy bit off the head of a bat.
