Because you should always look at SEC filings. 

to properly vet any high yield ETF the very first thing you do is look at the volume for changes. if you look at the volume you will see a definite date of volume change. Then you look at the SEC filing and it should all make sense. 

No intelligent investor should EVER buy a high yield ETF based on a Just X year chart. That is just like asking for it. 

You have to do due diligence.
