Interesting question. But let's rewind the tape a bit. In 1948, the land wasn't a sovereign Palestinian Arab state, it was a British Mandate, carved from the crumbling Ottoman Islamist occupation. There was no "Palestinian Arab sovereignty" to defend, because it never existed. What did exist was a UN proposal to give both Jews and Arabs a state. The Jews said yes. The Arabs said no, and then launched a war.

So to answer you plainly, no, rejecting partition wasn’t a moral right, it was a political miscalculation. And sovereignty isn’t earned by saying NO to peace, it's built by saying YES to coexistence. Israel did. The rest is history, borders, and too many missed opportunities.
