✦ US government seeks to seize $7.1M in cryptocurrency linked to fraudulent oil and gas investment scheme:

The federal prosecutors in Seattle aim to seize $XXX million in cryptocurrency associated with an investment fraud to compensate victims. The Justice Department is pursuing the forfeiture of funds seized by Homeland Security in December, linked to a scam that allegedly generated $XX million between June 2022 and July 2024. The acting US Attorney highlighted efforts to trace and recover the laundered cryptocurrency from the perpetrators.
