I see people make a confusion.

FIFA XX

Everyone talks about "Oh, the times Ronaldo & Messi were XX and BECAUSE OF THAT WERE USEABLE."

This is BS. It has nothing to do with their rating. Gold cards were useable because we didn't have a lot of alternatives — fewer promos, SBCs, objectives, and no Evos.

Players that were useable for a lot of months:

Walker — XX rated

Smalling — XX rated

Kante — XX rated

Butland — XX rated

Martial — XX rated
