He’s not a true/traditional playmaker #10 to the level of the likes of Palmer/Wirtz etc in my opinion, so I can see why big clubs were hesitant to go all-in on him as their franchise #10. But we’re in a special position where we already have arguably the best traditional/playmaker type #10 in the world in Palmer. As a side-kick to Palmer and his 1b to Palmer’s 1a, I think he is arguably the best-pick you could make for that role of any player in Europe. With less attention on him as the focal point in attack, less pressure to create, and more emphasis on the all-roundness & all-action nature of his game; I think he will go to another level and explode.
