Your argument about reasoning is sophistry; the fact is that our scientific understanding, unlike theistic religions, have great predictive power for how the world works, leading to the technological wonderland we live in today. There’s good and bad science, and the bad (covid policy, lots of food science and etc) should be criticized. It should all be looked at through the lens of who funds and has an interest in its findings, and most importantly, the fruit it produces. You can’t pray a rocket into space, but we certainly have built rockets that achieve this, because we’ve had great minds that are willing to look at the world empirically and produce experiments that unlike theistic beliefs, have allowed us to actually understand to our current degree the world that we live in.
