That is quantitatively untrue. The majority of the US population has good insurance coverage, especially when you consider the sheer number of people that are covered by the VA and Medicare (both some of the best public run healthcare programs on earth). 

Further, treatment denial happens all the time for cosmetic and other non-essential things in Europe. It often isn’t case by case, but the end result is the same- the appointments and medications aren’t covered.
