A constitutional republic is the government. The democratic process is blanketed by that Republic. The Republic makes it clear that we have equal representation, which is why each state has X senators, regardless of population. It also assigns electoral college so population centers don’t dictate policy for the rest of the country. Most importantly, our constitutional rights supersedes any mob rule.
