If you look at the Google / Windsurf deal, Google wasn’t even confident in pulling off a $3B acquisition (given anti-trust concerns), so they onlu acquired a handful of the execs in an “acqu-hire”.. 

If Google is worried they can’t pull off a $3B deal, I doubt they will be trying to buy any of the major AI labs anytime soon..
