During this type of scenario,  $BTC would have to be pegged to gold or something else of stable value like silver, palladium, or platinum. It's currently pegged to a weak currency, and that's the actual issue here.

If the dollar continues to weaken, it will ultimately drag Bitcoin's value along with it unless the peg is shifted to a more valuable and stable option. 

This is not being discussed out loud.
