Still nothing shutting down the Isak talk, yet I keep seeing, “We’re not benching a £79m player to sign Isak.”

X - The club has money. Let them spend it.
X - It’s not your bank account. Stop worrying.

Liverpool need two strikers, there’s no debate. They’re not looking for a random backup. They want quality for now and next season. If you want to win big, you pay big. Simple.

Think of it this way! If Isak signs first, you probably don’t get someone of Ekitike’s level as a “backup.” But if you sign Ekitike now, you can still promise Isak the No.9 role without worrying about scaring off your depth option.

And if Isak doesn’t happen this summer? Fine… Ekitike’s in the door. The safety net is there. This is smart squad building, cover the worst case & still push for the best case.

If we get Isak this summer, great… he starts. If not, they’ll circle back next year. And if Ekitike smashes it? Maybe you don’t even need Isak next summer because our “backup” just became our first option.

I know we are not used to it but, this is how elite clubs plan windows, multiple options, solid situational approach. Stop counting pennies, this is Liverpool trying to win the Premier League and Champions League again.
