I guess the majority of the cancer patients I saw in my years in healthcare died, nearly XXX% of the time. 

Either the cancer killed them, the chemo killed them or the cancer came back in an explosive way after the treatment ended and it killed them rapidly. 

Sure there were successes, but it was the exception, not the rule.
