At their first meeting, the new ACIP members appointed by RFK Jr. voted 5-1-1 against including thimerosal in flu shots.

ACIP voted to recommend only single-dose flu shots that are free of thimerosal.

Thimerosal was phased out of childhood vaccines in the early 2000s, but it’s still used in some flu vaccines.
