🇺🇸 President Trump threatening to only lower tariffs if other countries open up their markets for the U.S.

The economic forces cannot be stopped no mater what. The Cantillon Effect and Triffin’s Dilemma will still be underlying, and this is why high level tariffs would not be sustainable over the long run.

Trump and his administration are aware of this, and so is the Federal Reserve.
